Don't over tighten your timing belt!! Doing so can cause failure of the
belt in as little as a couple hours of running time. Don't ask me how I
know, but there is a garage in New Mexico that did this to me. The belt
lasted less than a day (by then I was in Oklahoma).
Most manuals call for enough slack in the belt to allow you to twist it
about 90 deg. Find out the specifics before you run the engine.
