Re: Disappointed with AoA customer service
Experience with my '87 4kcsq was quite similar to Eliot's observations.
I still have most of the work orders from the Q for hee first 50,000
miles. Seems like the car was in the shop an awful lot for window
motors, sunroof problems, reaplcement sppedo, back muffler rusted
through, etc. etc. After the 3yr/50,000 mile warranty expired, the car
actually got better. Did not have a lot of repair bills until around
100,000 when I did lots of stuff, both regular mainteancne and
not-so-regular(radiator for example). Overall, it seems to me that
Eliot's observations are right on the mark.
Given the price of new Audi's when the Q finally gives up the ghost I
hope to find my next one with about half of the orignal warranty still
applicable. Seems to be about the best of all worlds--lots of warranty
left and a heavily despreciated price on a car we all know will run and
run and run so long as it gets decent maintenance.
