Having posted to the guy's address (and I was nice enough about it, 
hell, I ask dumb questions...) I thought, "um maybe it was a joke?" 
and moments later, I got a bounce from the mail...

Was someone having us on?  The wording of the thing seemed strangely 
almost *designed* to irritate...
