Re: Bogus (?) Oil warning

My 92 S4 (44kmiles) used to have almost the same problem with the oil
pressure warning light.  It usually triggers (after a hard run) at low rpm
(1500-2500rpm).  However it usually (not always) happens after an oil change
(when I change to different brand of oil).  Eventually I started to suspect
the viscosity of the oil????  Because it always happen when I use the Castrol
Syntec 5W-50.  Sometimes(although very rarely) with Mobil 1 15w-50 and never
encountered anymore the last 5000 miles after I use Redline 15W-50. 

The local service manager suspected a unusually sensitive low oil pressure
sensor
