Hey, we don't even want Dan to go away.  He's welcome to participate in our
"little club" if he wants.  I'm sure that, assuming he has been reading the
mail, he realises that his question was inappropriate for this august group.

If, as you suggest, Bill (and your Caddyshack analysis rings so very true)
that his question was a phony one designed to rattle our collective chain
and elicit a response from us, well, if so, it worked.
