Low noise and studs to me are an oxymoron, eliot.....  I used to have a list
of what was studable, but since we can't used thems here, I don't have it
handy.....  I would look at a VR/210 type tread design that has stud
capabilities......  If you can't find any, I would look at the Goodyear line,
they, as a general rule make very stiff sidewall tires.......
