If you're in the United States, then you'll have to wait.  The A8 has not
been officially imported for sale in this country yet.  All indications
is that Audi will do so next year.

120K miles is just barely broken in! (slight exaggeration)
Since the V8 is really two VW 16V fours siamesed into a 90 degree V,
and shares many components with the four, it should be an entirely
robust unit, and well proven in the world.
