Please tell the bozos who worked on my 87 5000s. Local Audi dealer had just
closed up shop and I had to take car to non-German speaking mechanics. Had
to replace front body panel I bent (oooops!) and they had the car for about
a week.
It wasn't till much later that I realized that they had not just fixed the
car, but had 'modified' the hood with 2 nice dents. I hadn't noticed right
after the repair so I couldn't go back and get a new hood from them. :-(
Guess that's a way to learn not to sit on aluminum hoods for kicks. I also
don't weigh 250lbs+ tho.
Maybe I now have a lower CD.
Ever try beating a bent aluminum panel back to shape. Me think aluminum
alloy has a nice 'memory' effect.
Identified not by vanity plate. But by the dents on hood and sagging sunroof.
