Does the aluminum component go for all 5000/100/200 models? Which body
parts are aluminum if that's the case?

Thanks.

| Please tell the bozos who worked on my 87 5000s. Local Audi dealer had just
| closed up shop and I had to take car to non-German speaking mechanics. Had
| to replace front body panel I bent (oooops!) and they had the car for about
| a week.
| It wasn't till much later that I realized that they had not just fixed the
| car, but had 'modified' the hood with 2 nice dents. I hadn't noticed right
| after the repair so I couldn't go back and get a new hood from them. :-(
|
| Guess that's a way to learn not to sit on aluminum hoods for kicks. I also
| don't weigh 250lbs+ tho.
| Maybe I now have a lower CD.
|
| Ever try beating a bent aluminum panel back to shape. Me think aluminum
| alloy has a nice 'memory' effect.

|
| Identified not by vanity plate. But by the dents on hood and sagging sunroof.
