Re: Oil By-Pass valve?

There's an Audi brochure about oil filters (I picked it up at a dealer service 
dept.) which highlights the importance of the by-pass valve in Audi filters, 
and says aftermarket filters may not have one or may not perform the same . . 
. which leads me to ask, how do I judge the quality of an aftermarket filter, 
does anyone know which brands meet Audi specs?
