Anyone selling a Quattro??
Hiya-
I'm been lurking on this list for a couple of months now and figure this
is a good time for a post, only I wish it were under better circumstansces:
I have been the proud owner of an '86 4KCSQ for about two months now, I
absolutly LOVE this car. Fully loaded, very clean, Eibach springs with Boge
shocks, Alpine Steroe with Boston Acustics speakers and a Fuba antennae,
customer "sport hitch" for towing the bikes, etc.
Well, we are in the midst of our 2nd major snowfall here in Bostn MA, I
was leaving my girlfriends apt in Boston, heading back home to Acton. As I was
driving past BC, I noticed an Acura pulling a U turn into my lane behind me.
This car had just been in a major accident, the whole front end was crushed and
smoking. I think to myself "what an idiot, why is he driving that thing, get it
towed."
Anyway, I come to a red light right in gront of BC at the T tracks (for
those of you in the Boston area). and come to a stop behind several other cars.
I keep looking in the rear view mirror for any signs of someone not stopping and
lo and behold, here comes the Acura flying towards me with no indication he is
slowing down. I make a quick decission and decide "I'm outta here" and try to
pull out of the way, but *SLAM*. He nails the rear left of my car and bounces
off into the other cars.
Damage: rear bumper is gone
trunk latch gone
trunck buckled
both driver side doors smashed in (rear wont open)
drivers seat in "loose"
The worse part is the cops don't plan on siting the guy because of the
"conditions" of the road.
Soooo, does anyone know a good AUDI body shop to give me a top dollar
estimate in the Boston area, and two, is anyone selling a Q? I've owned both an
'86 5KCST (no Q), and this car. I think I like the 4K better, more my style, a
little smaller and sportier, but all I really want is a Q in good condition,
I've fallen in love with these cars.
Any help/advice would be appriciated. I'm going home to cry.
TIA.
