My understanding was that there's no such thing as a 1996 S6, that 1995
is the last year that the turbo 5 may be imported without EPA-related
improvements that Audi declines to add, and that the turbo v6 will not
be ready until 1997.

Please correct me if I'm wrong about this, in which case I will have a
little chat with my dealer from whom I just got an S6 wagon "before
they're all gone."

BTW, my dealer was offering this S6 **wagon** for 46,000, and went a
bit below that too.
