Re: block heater

Assuming my audi has one ('86 5KCS), where would it be located at? I
looked all over the engine compartment and couldn't find one. Next
question, any particular model work better than others? How hard is it
to install?<
The block heater is installed in place of the center freeze plug of
the engine on the passenger side. I bought mine from a dealer. It is
a 400 watt immersion heater that replaces a freeze plug. The plug is
not too bad to remove. I drilled several holes into it and pryed it
out with a cold chisel. A slide hammer dent puller may work well also.
