Likewise with my '89 100Q with Dunlop D60A2 205/60/R15's.  In slush I find 
that when the front wheels slip, the rear pushes me out of control like a rear 
drive vehicle!  So much for the benefits of AWD!  (Not to be a heretic ... 
it's great in rain.)

If it makes any difference, the tires are about 3/4 worn, but even wear and no 
wear bars yet.  Would the same new be much better?  (Let me guess ... No!)  By 
the way, D60A2's are not M+S rated but are advertised as "all season tread"!

Which leads me to:  Who can tell me specifically what to buy in the way of 
four steel wheels to mount snows?
