ABS probably will put the tires on the verge of lock up, but probably not
a heavy lock-up like non-ABS cars. There are instances where ABS is
definitely a no-no compared to no ABS -- like on pebble lined road or on
sand (this is about the distance needed to stop -- not if the car is
under control).
By the way, how many channel does the various Audi models' ABS use? For
example, most Hondas use 3-channel (like those Cavaliars and things)
which is almost a junk. I heard most BMW and MB use 4-channel, while some
Audi use 5-channel ABS. Comments?
