I remember it too, the driver was Csaba Csere, well-known to C&D
readers, a pretty smart guy, certainly no moron.  I was just about to
buy a 200 back then, and I called the guy to ask him what he thought
about the car.  He said it's so good you can easily get
over-confident.

His wife pulled through OK.

Just makes sense that quattro would shine the best in accelleration,
somewhat in corning (which is a lateral accelleration thing) and be of
no help in stopping.

I can't imaging getting stuck in my new S6 wagon, and it's marvelously
stable during acceleration on slippery surfaces.  Once I learn to drive
it properly I'll corner fine too.  But stopping is another story all
together.
