It just so happens that my two vehicles are an 89 300ZX 2+2 and a 95 S6
wagon. The Z as delivered was completely undrivable on snow. The rear
end would swing out at the least provocation. I once drove it from the
entrance to my subdivision up to my house with two neigbors walking on
each side of the car, with a hand on each fendor just above the rear
wheels. Just this slight guidance kept the car from fishtailing out,
and without it I could not have gotten the beast into the garage that
evening.
Swapping the V-rated rubber for M+S rubber made it pretty drivable in
the snow. I can hardly wait to see what the S6 will be like with
something other than the Z rated rubber it came with.
