5200? It should be around 6k in 5:th ;-)

I run around 1.9 - 2.0 bar. Soon to be 2.5 I hope. If that V8 I saw
yesterday doesn't come in between...

A couple of months ago I was on a business trip in my white '90 100
tq. It is pretty anonymous, looks just like an ordinary 4 or 5 banger
non-t to the non Audi-philes.

Anyway I had set the cruise control and was cruising at about 140 kph
on the motorway. Suddenly I see a fairly new black Saab 900-S (low
pressure turbo) pass at approx 160 - 170 kph. "Yesss!", I said to
myself, now pretty bored with a couple of hours from home.

I floored it and in just a short while I was tailing him. When he saw
me in the mirrors, he got nervous, the speed limit was 110 kph, and he
pulled in to the right and slowed down to about 120. I pulled in
behind him and was following him for a few km:s. I then pulled up
beside him, greeted him, and passed him and pulled in to the right and
resumed the cruise control at 140.

A few seconds later he pulled up besides me, waved his hand in with
the clear intention of a race. I put on my zero face and let him take
off. I gave him some slack before I took off. I passed him at around
200 and slowed down to around 180. The next turn was at around
220. The last I saw of him was when I passed him on a slight uphill
with the tach at 6k flat, and the speedo at 240. The pedal was still
not on the floor! The boost gauge showed around 1.7 - 1.8.

Boy, these are real adrenaline kicks! If I hadn't had ears my head
would have fallen off from the all around smile ;-) ;-)

I have a goal, I shall at least once peg the speedo at the end of the
scale, 260. This is past redline on the tach. It may already manage
this. I still haven't gotten it to the top speed.
