Ned Ritchie wrote an article in the Quattro quarterly a few (many) moons ago
about turbos w/ auto trannies (fwd). Don't recall the details, but if the
brake is applied (brake light on), a signal to the computer limits the boost
to prevent excess stress on the torque converter--gee, i can't think of
anyone who'd want to load up their torque converter before they get going
from say, a stop light.  This shouldn't affect you unless you use that nifty
trick of left-foot braking to build boost before you exit a corner (actually
a nifty trick :)
