Okay, try this: I have this set of brand-new Ronal R-8s that are fully paid
for and that I'm planning to use on my car (at least initially) because I'm
on a limited budget.  Since I'd rather keep these in mint condition for the
'81 4k 5+5 I plan to turn into a Q-car someday and they are no longer being
made, does anyone have a set of 7x15 R-8s they're willing to sell (and that
I can keep as a backup for my *other* set in case I damage one)?  Does that
explain my motive clearly enough?

BTW, I wouldn't race a dirty car ... or a slow one.  That's one of the many
reasons why this project is taking so long and costing so much!  Also, it's
been my experience that when a car looks right, it usually IS right...  :^)
