Re: Ur-Quattro suspension upgrade

Tomas, I'm not an Ur-q owner, but I am using a set of the ABT
springs in my 85 4000sq. As far as performance, they're great. As far
as comfort level............ a little bit harsh. Not too bad for what
I do with the car, but if you're looking for something that will give
you a comfortable ride for long distances, this isn't it. But if
you're after a good performer and can comprmise then the ABT is a good
     way to go.
As for a source, try JTMotorsport, they advertise in european car.
     Todd.

Hello, I own a 1983 Quattro Turbo Coupe and I am going to be
changing the suspension. I am also going to change the shocks and the wheel
bearings since the car has 160,000 miles on the original suspension. I am
wondering if any of you had tryied the ABT sport springs which should lower
the car 1.5"inch all around and they cost about $390 or any other ones that
you had hopefully great experience with. If you could let me know which
springs and which shocks you had used and also what would be good is where
to get them for a good price. I am right know running the 8"inch rims with
225/50/15 and I think that if these springs will lower the car that I will
have to roll the rear fender lips because even sometimes now they rub over a
big bump.
Thank you in advance.
