Indroducing 81 4000 coupe

My name is Robert Tonge and I have just joined the quattro list after
purchasing a near perfect 81 4000 coupe (silver/dark brown leather). The
car only has 49K miles (documented), has only had 1 previous owner and was 
bought from the dealer that sold it in 81 (it was a part ex for a new Subaru)
The dealer gave me a 1000 mile/1 month warrenty with the car and I have 
noticed a couple of minor points that may need attention - the inside edges
of the front tires (Pirelli P600 185/60-14) are wearing noticably quicker
than the outside edges and 4th gear is a bit of a swine to engage (both from
3rd and 5th). Are these usual problems with this model ? Any comments would
be appreciated. Happy Christmas everybody.
