I've had my '92 100q for a little over a week, so I thought I'd pass
along my observations so far.

- The handling is amazing, and continues to impress me more and more.
The only thing that gets it upset is a rough road when taking a curve
enthousiastically.

- The ride is a little disappointing. It's quiet and smooth, but if I
go over a bump (WHAM), there's a sort of shaking (WUGGA Wugga wugga)
afterward. Also, an undulating road will cause roll and yaw in
addition to pitching forward and aft. I'm wondering if this indicates a
bad strut, but my mechanic says it's okay.

- Climate control is broken (I hope!). For example, this morning
(outside temp 57), I set the "target temp" to 65, and I got the
following: (a) low fan speed, cool air coming out (expected, since the
engine isn't warm); (b) medium fan, warm air; (c) high fan, warm air;
(d) medium fan, cool air briefly; (e) repeat of c and d ad infinitum,
with the cabin too hot. My theory is that the system *knows* it's hot,
and is trying to cool it down, but because of <something> it's pumping
in heated air instead of cool, outside air. Eventually the cabin gets
so hot that it switches on the a/c, which brings the temp down a bit so
that it switches the a/c off, and we're back to pumping in hot air
again.

- Many people have said, "wow, that's a great looking car!"

Any comments on the suspension and climate control are welcome. Thanks,
