Yo, Mike.......  There is a bolt on the top that needs to be tight too......
  and if that doesn't tighten enough you can sleeve that upper bolt mount to
reduce the "turn" ability of the alternator......   The bottom just sets the
hinge, the hinge itself is what you want to add some friction to........  Is
it a rebuilt alt?  You may have a univoysel app for the car which might have
a larger tolerance at the hinge....
