Hi "Bob", et al,

That was more or less the point I tried to make "way back when" when I first
got my SuperChips "mods". I realize the "mods" were simply a much stiffer
wastegate spring and a zener clamped across the transducer output to limit
its response to higher boost levels.

So far, there have been no obvious boost related problems with the engine
after ~30K miles. I've had to replace the turbo --> Intercooler (IC) hose
twice because it couldn't hold the pressure but that's not an engine
problem. I also popped the IC itself once and had to reinforce it with a
long hose clamp. Again, the is not an *engine* problem.

Now, ask about the output from the engine at 22 psig of boost. All I can
say is :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) :-) in spades!!! Something on the
order of 300+/- hp is awesome in a Q-ship. It truly makes a Q-Ship out of a
merely great car. It will lay you back in your seat in 5th gear at 120 mph.
:-) :-) :-)

Now, on a slightly different subject, does anyone have a handle on a more
sturdy (than stock) turbo --> IC hose? Or perhaps a durable way of
reinforcing the stock hose? I think I could make use of one. :-)
