I use a "Grip Clamp" for this (You wood workers out there will probably know
what I'm talking about.) they work excellent.  They have rubber pads already,
they come in different sizes.  I just got one for christmas specifically to do
brakes with a 6" opening between clamps :-)  

Of course they weren't worth diddly when I went to do the back of the
V8 last weekend.... Those screw back in :-(

But for $20.- bucks it sure is alot easier than a C clamp for the fronts.
