A4 steering column

Hi all,
It has not been a good start to the year for my A4. I took it to the 
dealer because my horn would only work intermittently (very bad thing in 
the New England area). They told me that the steering column has been 
updated and mine needed replacing. Does anyone else know about this? I am 
somewhat hesitant about having my four month old car torn apart already. 
Also the CD player that had been skipping like crazy turned out to be 
defective, it is being replaced. My headlight lenses both developed bad 
starring (no evidence of stone impact) and they too are being replaced. 
Can someone e-mail me the address of the Audi gods so I can make my 
offering before the car implodes? TIA

BTW I just put Goodyear Eagle GW's (M&S) on the car to replace the stock 
RS-A's and cut my stopping distance from 30mph on packed snow in half. 
Strongly recommend them for those in the snow belt. (They were $76 apiece 
from Discount Tire <usual disclaimer> in A4 size 205/55 R16).
