4x Light Info?

Well, in pursuit of my latest wild-a**ed idea, here are the
measurements from the big "light-challenged" headlight assemblies on
my 90 200:

Each light has the following dimensions:

Width: 14 and 3/4 inches
Height: 5 and 1/4 inches

These are approx. within 1/2 inch or so, because I'm trying to
measure the actual light body width, not just the front of the lens,
which tapers slightly and is therefore slightly smaller than the
light body at its max. width.

Would one of you kind types running a 5K with the 4x rectangular
headlights put a tape measure across one pair of your headlights and
post the measurements? If the 4x setup is no wider than 14 3/4",
maybe this idea is worth pursuing. I'm pretty confident the 4x
lights are smaller than 5 1/4" top to bottom, and would like to know
that measurement, too.

I keep thinking this idea is just too simple to actually work......

Hasn't ANYone ever actually tried this???...?
