A 'salt' on the Audi - Criminal!

All,

My inclination is to not wash the car at all over the winter. I
don't want to get water into the cracks and crevices of the chassis, and
I don't want the water to carry the salt to those far reaching places
either. Storing indoors is also a no-no. The heat/cold cycling can
damage the body seams because the water freezing in the seams can split them
open. I realise that the paint takes a beating, but if it has a good
coat of wax, it should be OK in the spring. Besides, it is easier to
repaint, than to replace the body:-)

Just my .02. I don't claim to be an expert on salt. (or
anything else for that matter:-)
