Bonehead Move - got stuck
In the efforts to find the limits of traction. . .
Did you know an 88 80Q will go through almost 10" of snow and almost go
through 20" of snow?
I was trying to get down my brother's lane to get his wife (ICU Nurse) to
the hospital. Blasting along this unplowed street I was doing great until
"the drift" - tried to hammer through it an got stuck when I got a little
slideways. Stuffed snow into every orafice of the car including grill,
undercarriage, etc. Seems I also knocked the toe-in out of wack. Alignment
time. These front ends are very susceptible to being knocked out of
alignment. After 30 minutes of digging under and around the car, I was free
on on my way. Torsen WITH locked diff definitely helped get out of the mess...
The best thing to put in an Audi to assist in foul weather? - I put my 3hp
Toro snowblower in the back seat!
