Good convex mirrors
AudiDudi's accident reminded me why I added convex mirrors to my 4kCSQ.
Lane changes can be a troublesome experience in heavy traffic if you have
too rotate the neck.
I bought a set of ADJUSTABLE convex mirrors. They stick/glue on or near
your existing mirrors. They are adjustable because they rotate on a ball
and socket joint. I have them adjusted so that I can just see the side of
my car and have a clear view of the lane beside me (both driver and
passenger sides). I have checked the remaining blind spot with a Honda
CRX and he was easy to spot. Motorcycles might be tougher, but I always
give them lots of room.
I know not everyone wants to stick another mirror on, but if you don't
mind, it is a good setup. Usual disclaimers apply. Ads are often seen in
various auto magazines.
FWIW, I saw a side mirror on a Euro 80/90 that had a "bend" in it.
Essentially, the outside 1/4th of the mirror had been rotated to help
eliminate the blind spot.
FWIW.
