Brake compatibility

Howdy-

	I have an '86 5KCST (5 speed) "parts car" with virtually new (stock) 
brakes all around (pads and rotors). I am getting ready to pick up an '87 5KCSTQ 
in the need of some front brakes.  Are the pads/rotors compatible between these 
two cars? Do the non-quattro/quattro cars use the same brake setup between these 
two years, or am I out of luck?
