Tire'd comments.

The Tire Rack gets my vote as awesome! I shopped around for some Dunlop
D60 M2's 195/60/R14 (a very very good handling tire for you 4k owners out
there). The best I could do was $95 each, mounted and balanced. Called
Tire Rack - $56 each + $2 each S&H = $58 each. Had 'em mounted and
bubble balanced at Doc Lowe's Garage (very local) for another $3 each. So
new, really nice performance (for a 60 series) tires - $61 each. One of
the guys that I had gotten a price from here in Auburn actually asked me
for Tire Rack's number because their price was more than $15 cheaper than
he could get 'em for! This isn't true for all tires, but if you shop
around.....

I've got BF Goodrich Radial T/A's on my car now (thanks Dad!) from Sam's
Wholesale Club a few months back. They have a soft sidewall and hard
tread compound - a huge downer after the Dunlop's. But with a 440
treadwear, they should last a lot longer than the 10k or so on the
Dunlop's. And the T/A's are quiet and predictable - a good traveling
tire.

Way over my budget ($.02).
