ignition upgrades

    Yesterday someone asked about the MSD BTM (Boost Timing Mechanism?)  I
had never heard of that one so I investigated.  MSD makes a dash mounted
unit to retard spark from 1-3% per pound of boost to a max of 15%, a
significant range enhancement over our built in ECU's.  Summit racing price
~$150.   
      They also make a spark enhancement/accelerator system with the boost
retard ( theoretically able to keep you on the edge of detonation knock
sensor as well maybe?) and selectable rev limiter built in (not adjustable
I think) for about $300.  These units are totally electronic and are
supposed to be able to work with our crank triggered mechanisms and are
transferrable between cars if we trade up our Audis for other models. 
These prices and features seem to make other like the Jacobs for ~$480
costly and more primative. 
   Are any of you guys with the monster output 5000's and TQC running any
of these or other ignition mods and care to share your thoughts ideas?
