666 and the devil inside

hi,

after reading this:

i picked up my A4 thursday night from the dealer, who performed the 1,000  mile 
check, topped off the fluids, installed the CD changer, and added my plates, 
which were fresh from the DMV.

the plates i got for my black A4:

LF-666R

oh great... the old 666 devil plates. so i figured i'd rock to a little
Korn on the CD player...

the next morning, i have a near flat front tire, a black cat crossed the
road in front of me (first time ever, i think) and i got pulled over for
the first time in a *LONG* time saturday night.

"any reason you were doing 66 in a 45 zone in the rain?" (there's the 6s thing again!)

i thought:

a.) "uh.. dude, this A4 quattro MOVES, don't it"

b.) "err... i thought 70 was a little quick so i backed off"

c.) "this new green day album was CRANKING on my spanking new CD player"

but i settled with "we're a little late for dinner... not a good excuse, huh?"

oh yeah, and my chin was bleeding because i cut myself shaving. great evening so far.

he took my family-member PBA card, kept it, and told me if the issuing officer didn't
check out, he'd mail me the ticket. damn! oh well, no ticket so far.

yesterday i washed the car and installed the Valentine One. 1 day too late. think
i'll get some cool NJ Shore plates with the little lighthouse on it.

"only in a quattro!"
