I was watching Motorweek on the weekend, they were saying that the Audi A3
will initially available in a 3 doors configuration and and then a 5 
doors models. An AWD version will be available but instead of the 
quattro drive it will use the VW Synchro system since Audi A3 is based on 
the 4th generation Golf platform. They didn't say what kind engine is 
available on the A3. The front of the A3 looks very much like the A4 and 
rear uses tail light similar to the A4. Actually I think rear looks 
almost like an A4 rear end with a hatch back.
