First trip

So my first Q trip is history.

Saturday I went from my place in Norwalk, Ct up to my brother in Bellingham
Mass. About 160mi. It was really windy, 30mph+ and raining hard. The Q moves
around very little in strong side winds. Not bad for a car that was on a
drawing board over ten years ago. It was better than many of the new cars I get
to test.

Huge, deep puddles didn't pull it off line either. My Merkur changes lanes in
those conditions. But it has a bunch of negative camber so it is hardly a good
tracker anyway.

We went to the NHKA, New Hampshire Karting Assoc. Awards dinner Sat night. We
run a 100cc kart at NHIS. Got some awards and booty.

The ride home was quiet and comfortable. This 5K is very quiet except for the
Goodyear GAs. But you all know that. What amazed me was the mileage. The trip
computer said that for my 160mi ride at an average 71mph I peaked at 28.2mpg
just short of home. I'm impressed. My sister in-law didn't believe the car was
an '88. Too tight and quiet. She doesn't hear the LF wheel bearing I do. We
all agreed the headlight are junk even with 55/100s in there.

All of the above you all know as far as how good the car is. But I HAD to
rehash it.
