Audi 200T Problems

I've read with interest the problems others have had with their Audis.
I'm somewhat surprised (although I probably shouldn't be) that many have
the same problems. Most of these problems are more inconvenient than
anything else.

I have a 1990 200T with 120K miles. I had the timing belt changed as a
precaution, and have had regular maintenance. The car runs fine,
however, it has these annoying problems.

Stuck recirculating air door
The car gets awfully foggy when I have any passengers. Recent
threads suggest a stuck recirculating door. I haven't confirmed this,
but it sounds reasonable.

Faulty power window (driver side rear)
I'll probably live with this annoyance - I rarely have rear seat
passengers who need the window down. Any hints where the fault may be
here? I don't think it's a switch problem because neither the switch on
the driver console nor the switch on the rear-door will lower this window.

Bulb out on heated seat switch
I've read the archive threads on this topic and plan on replacing
the bulb as per the instructions.

Bulb out on cigarette lighter
Shound't be too hard to fix.

Driver side seat heater inoperable
I've read the archive threads on this and will attempt to find the
fault. Some say the faults are with the thermisistor, and others say you
have to ohm out the heating element. This sounds like a labor intensive
repair.

rear defrost inoperable (recently broke, more critical than the other
problems)
I haven't seen too many posts on this topic. Any thoughts??

My 1987 500CST had the infamous power steering rack and pump replaced.
The rack was replaced twice (1 time under warranty, another time not).
I've seen many posts on this mailing list warning that the rack was
susceptible to failure, and I guess I'm just one more statistic
validating that truth.

And now for a question:
I've been seeing an advertisement in the local (Philadelphia) paper about
a 'rare' 1983 Audi turbo Quattro. The owner is asking $9800. The ad has
been in the paper for almost 2 months, indicating to me that the asking
price is way too high. Who would pay close to 10K for a 13 year old
car? Someone please enlighten me why someone would think that car is so
valuable. What makes it so special?
