A4 Front End Noise

Anyone else out there had trouble with front end noise from their A4q?  
Occassionally I have a noise from the front driver side that sounds 
like the wheel is loose, and then it goes away.  The dealer has looked 
at it and thinks it may be the cover on the suspension that protects it 
from dirt (whatever that is...)He wasn't able to pinpoint it though. 
Not terminal, but annoying.  Any ideas from the more mechanically 
inclined in the group?  Thanks!
