No doubt! I hate it when people do that.  I was being a good samaritan 
the other day... I came across a Ford Truck on the side of the road with 
a dead battery. I offered to jump it, since i had cables etc. He started 
in on me how my 5 cylinder (he didnt know it was a 5 of course, and he 
never heard of one etc.. and asked "doesnt it run rough?"  "No you 
snapperhead, its not a 6 with one cylinder missing.."..) anyway..i 
digress..  He started to tell me that my 5 cylinder couldnt possibly jump 
a v8. After an arguement, i said "gee your right, you'll have to wait for 
someone else." What a bozo.

WRT 'murican engines, so far the only american engine Ive seen that has 
promise is the northstar. I still think Ford has a long way to go, 
including their modular engines....
