Eric,
I don't think that the 4-rotor would save much weight over the
I-5, but oh boy, what sounds and power that would make!!
Might be a little tougher to cool also. I know that the three
rotor can be bought for about 3500, complete with turbos, intake, etc, so
all one would need, is an engine-to-transmission adapter, an EFI computer,
clutch, flywheel, radiator, misc plumbing/electrical connections,
intercooler, and voila - 500 HP easy in a Quattro, with incredible
smoothness, and power.
For ten grand, total outlay, one could have an incredible
sleeper, assuming he did all his own work.
I suppose you would need four rotors in the front grill instead of
four rings? :-)
