20v chip 'upgrades'

        A quick question regarding chipping a 20v normally aspirated engine
- Will it help? The Superchips' ad purported that they could add something
like 14 or 21 HP to the engine.. 
        Would it work? I have heard that superchips doesn't do anything to
their chips anyway, so I am dubious. More so now, since I sent a letter
asking Peter Wells (I forget his last name) about the chips for N/A cars,
and how exactly they worked..what the expected 'gain' would be, etc.. and
never got a reply.
