audis aren't designed for those delicate italian feet!                          
they are for those big ol' churman stompers (like mine =8))                     
that's why i skip the "heel & toe" technique in favor of the                    
"ball-of-foot & little toe" technique.                                          
if'n i put my heel on the go pedal and aim my toe toward the brake pedal,       
i've now got all 3 pedals covered!                                              
my way works (for me) for everything from bare feet to hiking boots.            
BTW, eliot, if you're not rev-matching downshifts, then you are shifting        
too slowly or driving a slushbox.  (wait, that's almost the same thing,         
isn't it?)  i'm kidding... =8)
