4kq engine hopups?

Well, I'm still quattroless (see, I even had time to upgrade my
server) but the wait is coming to an end as I have a head on its
way to me.  Since it's taken this long, if you've got any good 
suggestions on performance hopups for the engine, let me know.
My mechanic suggested as possibilities a cam sprocket to advance 
timing, a hotter cam, or perhaps some porting on the head.
Supposedly the cam in the 84q is better than the 85-87 but
I don't recall why.  Maybe I'll give Ned a call and ask about his
daughter's car that someone looked at the other day (that had a
cam and advanced timing too).
