K24 Turbo used on 89-90 10V TQ's ?

My 89 200TQ uses the smaller turbo with the dual knock sensor, 8.4 to 1 compression
MC engine. If I remember correctly the turbo  has the K24 designation stamped on the 
 its metal ID tag. 

Does the K24 designation only specify the impeller housing size?  Has anyone talked to Ned
Ritchie about the turbos in these 89-90 10V engines? It would seem unlikely that the same
exact turbo was used on the 89-90 10V's along with the 91 200TQ 20V and the latest S4's.
