I upgraded my headlamp bulbs to high wattage bulbs in my 1989 Audi
Coupe. The thing you have to watch is that the switch and wiring can
take the high load. The wiring is fine for the bulbs that you want to
use.
I upgraded my 60/55W main/dipped bulbs to 100/80W and the 55W main
beam only bulbs to 100W. The original wiring can take this new load,
but the two main beam 10A fuses will need replacing with 15A.
