This is most likely caused by an air leak to the intake manifold.
A direct leak to the intake manifold will not be measured by the
EFI and the engine runs way to lean.
You can check for leaks with " starter spray " which is used for
carburettor cars or with butan gas. As soon as any of them enters the
intake through a leak the engine revs will increase.
