18 wheelers and busses have air brakes. That's the rather flatulant
noise you hear every time the driver releases the brakes. Your license
did say "vehicles," not "cars," right?

Read an article on Dynamat dampners in one of my old car stereo rags.
They guy totally gutted the interior of the car, layered it with this
stuff, including the underside of the hood. The result was about a 10 dB
reduction in noise and a LOT of weight added to the car (this stuff ain't
light). Anything less than what this guy did would probably net a
marginal drop in sound, but add a lot of "fat," as Eric so fondly calles
it. You're better off buying a bigger amp and turning the volume up 8^)
