RE: 100/200 question?
100 is I5 10v atmo (130-ish horsepower), 200 is I5 10v turbo (165-ish
horsepower, 20v turbo 220-ish HP showed up in 1991), 200 also has higher
trim levels. $8K seems a little high, particularly with those miles.
Check out the steering rack. If it's leaking, you might point out to the
sales slime that a dealer replacement is about $1700 (knowing you can get it
replaced for about $500) and see if they budge.
Switches are also a problem, particularly the window switches. The light in
the switch tends to die (see the archives for a cheap fix), and the switch
tends to stop switching. It is usually just crummy contacts that cleaning
will cure, but you can tell the sales guy that new switches are about $70
each...
