      I've been using Castrol 5W50 Syntec for about a year and a half and I am
quite happy with it.  I feel that as long as you are using a Synthetic motor oi
l and change it every 3,500 miles (and use the OEM oil filters!) than you will
be fine.  I would only use Mobil 1 if I were doing a lot of track events or rac
ing.  Mine is just a daily driver....for now anyways.  Also, the Castrol is con
siderably less than the Mobil 1.  Also, the 5W50 makes it good for a quick lube
 at startup, yet is thick enough and provides the protection of a Synthetic.  T
he Mobil 1 is kinda thick, which is great for high intense situtaions, but kind
a overkill for daily everyday use.  Also, my lifters make noise for about 2 sec
onds at startup and that's it!
